PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
August 2023
Dear Parents/Guardians,
I hope you all had a wonderful and restful summer break with friends and family and are ready for the 2023-2024 school year. I am very excited and honoured to be working with the St Anthony Community for a second year. I look forward to what the year has in store for us all.
As an IB (International Baccalaureate) school, we look forward to planning wonderful IB projects that will instil a passion for learning in our students. These projects will challenge and nurture the students academically, socially, and emotionally. The teachers have planned some amazing units of work throughout all grade levels that will further develop the Learner Attributes of IB and develop them as critical thinkers.
Last year we made the schoolyards more student-friendly. We added beautiful markings with various games, basketball 3-point markings, ballon-poire, a driving track for the K4 and K5 yard, and a play structure in the K4 and K5 yard. We are excited for the students to enjoy it in the days ahead.
We also started to have a variety of school activities with a Break City dance program, Champs basketball program and a variety of sports run by Ms Belair. We hope to continue with this and add more fun activities for the students.
Thank you to Ms Sharon and her team for all the hard work over the summer to make the school look clean and beautiful. The school is looking ready for the year ahead. A big thank you as well goes to Ms Anna, our amazing admin assistant, for ensuring a smooth start-up and being the ray of sunshine that she is daily. To our hardworking and experienced St Anthony staff, thank you for all the love, dedication and passion and your hard work in ensuring the classes are ready for the students.
To our new and returning families, I would like to thank you for entrusting us with your children. I feel privileged to be part of this community that cultivates kindness and respect.
We look forward to collaborating with you all and seeing your children grow. Here is to another great year!
Warm regards,
Jane Preston
