Onomatopoeias are words that imitate the words that they describe. Onomatopoeias are used especially in comic books, and in pop art.
In class, we learned about Roy Lichtenstein and the pop art that he made. He used four colours: Magenta, yellow, cyan, and black. He also used “Ben Day dots”, a system invented to increase the colours availble to newspaper printing. His art is clear from a distance, but up close it looks like a bunch of dots. This is due to the Ben Day dots.
