Physical Education Marking Scale
Items needed for Physical Education Department
As you may already know we are always looking to improve the Physical Education Department. If you are able to help with requests below it would be greatly appreciated.
We have several pinnies that are in need of new elastics around the waist. If anyone can do a bit of sewing, it would be much appreciated.
We would like to remind you that we offer a ‘skate exchange’ and skate rental opportunity. Give us a pair and take a pair or you can rent a pair for $5 for the whole winter season. We also have adult sizes if you are not a skating family, this would be an inexpensive way to try it out. (We take skate donations)
If you are able to help please send in any items to my attention.
Thanks for your continued support,
Mrs. O'Reilly and Miss Christine
Canadian Tire $ Fundraising
This will be the fifth year of collecting Canadian Tire money to purchase small items for the P.E. Department. Duct tape, (the miracle tape), hooks for nets, Halloween toys for special games, tools to repair items.....all of these items add up in cost and the Canadian Tire money has helped tremendously in the past to defer these costs.
We are also still collecting old prescription glasses for the Lions Club. This organization will match under privileged children, adolescents and adults with vision problems with a pair of glasses collected from people who no longer use them. Please drop off your glasses at the school and we will see that they are passed on to the Lions Club.
P. E. Uniform
The P.E. Uniform:
Inside: T-shirt, *athletic running shoes and shorts (shorts are required to stop the students from sliding on the gymnasium floor. It is quite a problem!)
Outside: T-shirt and/or sweatshirt, shorts and/or sweatpants, *athletic running shoes.
*All students must wear running shoes that offer ankle support and cushioning for the soles of the feet. There is a difference between athletic running shoes and “fashion” running shoes.
All students are expected to:
listen quietly to the instructions
do not interrupt
be a good sport/friend
be respectful of the equipment
respect all the game rules and safety rules
Short notices will go home to keep parents up to date regarding these expectations. Parents are asked to sign the form and return it to the school the next day.
